Cold Wonders

This is the glass lantern at the National Arts Centre back in 2019, with its LED surface illuminated with an ice sculpture at night.

Sparks Street had a few ice sculptures around too.

Back in the Byward Market near the big sculptures, some ice benches and chairs had been created for photo ops.

As well as a few smaller sculptures for demonstrations for visitors later in Winterlude.

A few blocks away, several blocks of Bank Street had ice sculptures out and about.

  1. These are all so clever. (I once sat on a wasp and that ice throne would have been ideal at that time!)

  6. They are each wonderful works of art, yet for me the lantern is the really beautiful piece here.

  13. Sitting in that chair for a photo is a cold (and wet) prospect.

  14. Ese sillón de hielo, debe de estar bastante frío, yo no hubiera sido capaz de sentarme en él.
