Aside from flowerbeds, tulips can be found in planters around Ottawa and Gatineau. Here at the entrance to Parliament Hill, tulips can be found alongside the statue of Henry Harper. Check out this link for an earlier post about him that explains who he was and why he merits such a prominent location.
I have photographed from this place before, and will do so again. At the East Block, a large arched entrance offers a wonderful way to frame the Peace Tower on the Center Block. At the base, you can make out that line of colour. Tulip beds line the north edge of the lawn here on Parliament Hill.
There was a mix in the beds this year, but generally each year, red tulips must be prominent.
I have more from the Hill tomorrow.
