Today is Victoria Day here in Canada, so odds are I'm not around. I will have to play catchup tomorrow. It's also the final day of the Tulip Festival, but more of these shots are yet to come. This first shot is another perspective of the last tulip bed from yesterday's post. Dow's Lake can be glimpsed in the background- and I noticed the hint of spring blossoms in a tree on the far shore. I see I've also captured another member of the tulip paparazzi photographing at the left.
These tulip beds offer up differing vantage points for the discerning photographer, such as the path behind this set.
Or the quiet street on the other side of this tulip bed. I always like photographing here- the stone wall's a great backdrop.
Gorgeous array of lovely tulips.ReplyDelete
These are so pretty! I love the odd scattering of red blossoms in that top shot...and the purple ones in the bottom.ReplyDelete

Hope you had a great day yesterday and took tons more photos of the gorgeous tulips!ReplyDelete
@Kay: every once in awhile you see one odd tulip among a crowd of other colours, but in this case, the top one is a mixed bed.
@Cloudia: it's a day taken quite seriously here!
@Tomas: they're a pleasure to see each year.
@Jan: I know that big place Keukenhoff has a lot.
@Marianne: plenty of unusual tulips here!
@Revrunner: it really brought out the crowds this year.
@Grace: thank you!
@Janis: so did I.
@Gnome: it was a wonderful idea to make a festival of it. And we've got a photographer to thank for that.
@Tex: thank you!
@Red: that part of the city's very pretty this time of year. Oddly, decades ago, this park was industrial land.
@MB: thank you!
@Sharon: I'm thinking I may use that for my spring header image next year.
@Tamago: there were plenty of tulip paparazzi around this year.
@Lowell: it was a long day, but fun too.
@RedPat: it does make for a good photo backing.ReplyDelete
@Gill: me too.
@Gracita: thank you.
@Lois: as did I.
@Jennifer: oh, yes, but that's to be expected.
@Randy: thank you!
@Linda: I'd better not look that up on youtube, or I'll have it in my head all day.
@EG: oh, I got quite a lot of photos yesterday.
How I wish I could see these in person! Beautiful!ReplyDelete
I love seeing them.Delete
