Checkerboard Dave

David Aiken, aka the Checkerboard Guy, is a regular at Buskerfest. Here he's seen balancing on a ladder in the midst of his crowd. Part of the job is engaging with the audience, something he's well versed in, with a good sense of humour.

And then the juggling begins. You try doing this. Now try doing it balancing yourself on a ladder.

  1. Despite your tempting invitation to emulate Dave's party piece I'll be keeping both feet firmly on the ground, thank you! (though I did manage to successfully juggle a plate while drying the dishes recently).

  4. Ha, takes me back to a time when I used to walk around on a ladder like this one, at our greenhouse. We were rebuilding something and I realized that I could walk with the ladder.

  16. I think it would be fun to do simple juggling while out in public. Particularly when kids are around! Maybe I will learn.
