Wanderings Of A Canadian Loon Through The National Capital And Beyond
Thursday, March 16, 2017
Here we have more of the floats and marchers from last Saturday's St. Patrick's Day March, making their way south down Bank Street. The marchers include those of the canine variety- a number of Irish greyhounds.
I love parade. The dressed up dogs look cute.ReplyDelete
Everyone seems very rugged up. It must be a very cold day. The float for the Irish seniors is creative.ReplyDelete
Saint Patrick's day doesn't get much attention in Germany...ReplyDelete
A much entertaining parade!ReplyDelete
Gostei de ver.ReplyDelete
Um abraço e boa semana.

The dog in that next to last pic looks more like a shadow. :-)ReplyDelete
love all the green. the man in full green and the doggie too!! so cute! ( ;ReplyDelete
I do love a parade and I especially like that "Irish Greyhound"! I think I mentioned how much I like your spring header...I just noticed the Canadian geese. I'm playing golf at Stone Creek this morning and the place is overrun with these things - you have to be very careful where you walk as they leave their "mark" everywhere! :)ReplyDelete
haha, that dog is so cute!ReplyDelete
Looks like a cold day, William...ReplyDelete
Oh dear, the greyhound in green looks a little embarrassed ☺ReplyDelete
The greyhound in the last photo is "best of show" in my book!ReplyDelete
...even a couple of dogs got in on the act. Happy St Patty's Day.ReplyDelete
A good lively , noisy parade at this time of year is certainly enjoyable.ReplyDelete
Love the greyhounds and the wearin' of the green. Neat buildings in the background too.ReplyDelete
@Nancy: I was pleased to see these dogs again!ReplyDelete
@Gemma: it was definitely cold.
@Halcyon: I wouldn't think so!
@Marleen: it was!
@Revrunner: they are slender dogs.
@Beth: green was well in play!
@Lowell: this is why I tend to walk on paths in a park during the summer! You can see their marks!
@Tanya: very much so!
@Karl: it was bitterly cold. I was glad I was able to take photos with my gloves on.
@Grace: indeed- quite a furtive expression!
@Janis: me too!
@Red: it is.
@MB: thank you!
That dog in the last shot looks like he might be a bit embarrassed.ReplyDelete
I want to hang with the Irish Seniors! :)ReplyDelete
I like the dogs. I think with the last dog. His covering may have done a flip. It is mighty cold these days.ReplyDelete
Cute dogs! I hope they enjoyed the parade :-)ReplyDelete
While everyone is watching the parade, I am looking at the street views, store and other building fronts, and the dogs! Wonderful photos, William, thank you so much for sharing.ReplyDelete
You went! What fun!ReplyDelete
Hello, the parade looks like fun! I like the dogs marching in the parade. Enjoy your day, happy St. Patrick's Day!ReplyDelete
Those dogs are certainly bundled up!ReplyDelete
@Sharon: hopefully that doggie got treats!ReplyDelete
@Cloudia: they seemed to be having fun.
@Carolann: it was a windy day. I took two shots of that dog, and the other shot, the collar was adjusted properly.
@Tamago: I expect they were happy to get home and get some treats!
@Linda: thank you!
@Jennifer: it was fun.
@Eileen: thank you!
@RedPat: well bundled up, yes.
Gosh your new header is beautiful. it sure looks like Spring!ReplyDelete
Great continuation from your previous post.ReplyDelete
Lovely to see these photo's.
All the best Jan
It is still a shame there weren't more watchers. The dog in green doesn't look happy.ReplyDelete
Parades can sure be interesting. People love to watch one another.ReplyDelete
I like the dogs!ReplyDelete
It looks cold. It's good that the dogs have proper clothes. Also I love the bow tie :)ReplyDelete
I think I have some Irish blood. Mostly Scot and French, though.ReplyDelete
@Janey: and I'll have to do the same shortly.ReplyDelete
@Jan: thank you!
@Mari: the amount of watchers can be deceptive. The crowds do come out, it's just that they might be on the same side of the street as me.
@Kay: that's true.
@Linda: I do as well.
@Norma: mine is Dutch.
