Continuing on inside Knox Presbyterian Church from this Doors Open visit, I start with this display case, which features the colours of the 207th Battalion, which have resided with the congregation since 1919.
Another perspective of the sanctuary.
The adjoining church hall is bright and airy.
And back into the sanctuary, looking towards the balcony.
This is carved above the main doors for the exit- I am alpha and omega- the beginning and the end.
Up a flight of stairs takes us to the balcony. Adjoining it, this quiet sitting space.
And here we have looks down from above.
The stained glass window here in the balcony is by William Wilson, the same artist who designed the window at the front of the church. It has as its theme the Book of Revelations. This dates to 1968, at a point when Wilson was blind. However, he had a clear vision of what he wanted to convey, and dictated the details to a fellow artist, who carried out his instructions.
Coming back down the stairs, this view.
And a look back at the stairs.
One last look into the sanctuary.
