The living statue motif is always a welcome one at Buskerfest. Normally acts are about a half hour long, and the nature of this act generally means you're not watching for a half hour, but a steady stream of people pass by and check this out. This is Jenny Jupiter, a busker who has been here before. I usually don't photograph children, but in this case, there was no helping it.
I wonder what little ones make of her.
Of course I had to leave a tip before going. I found her a lot of fun to watch.
A chalk artist was in the process of working on this.
Buskers and Burlesque is a paid ticket show on the Sunday night of the event, going back years, where at one of the local hotels, buskers interact with local burlesque dancers in an adults-only show.
Another act was just getting prepared down the street. This was the Breakcity All-Stars.
When I came back by after a quick bite to eat, they were well into their act, and their audience had grown. Next year, note to self: take in more of this event.
Fun event, I like how the living statue eyes you. Glad that you enjoyed the event.
ReplyDeleteWhat I saw, I liked.
DeleteSilverman and gold man were popular in Waikiki. To tell you the truth. I don't get out in the evening so I don't know if their descendants are still down there. Maybe I should let this be the impetus to take a nice walk in the evening mirror blocks from my apartment and see what's happening on the streets of Waikiki. Cheers William thank you
