A return to Gatineau today for this look at Winterlude 2016. The zipline was back in Jacques Cartier Park.
It was also possible to tour the park via dog sled.
These two were at one of the outdoor campfires. You might recognize them from a previous post when they were over in Confederation Park.
The big snow sculptures are found here.
That particular year there were people in costume wandering about during my visit. This one seemed to be taking the porcupine as their motif.
A view of the frozen river, and the Ottawa shoreline beyond the bridge.
And more of the sculptures.
The slides are what really draws people in.
There is a stage set up here, with carvings in the snow beyond it.
The dogs look like they enjoy being out to enjoy the snow too. Lots of event and fun to enjoy outdoor.
ReplyDeleteI never knew what a zipline was until recently, we call them flying foxes here, why I have no idea.
ReplyDeleteNow that really looks like a lot of fun. Dogs and costumes, wow.
ReplyDeleteExcelentes fotografias.
ReplyDeleteUm abraço e boa semana.

DeleteWhat a fun outing! Sled dogs are great, so lucky to have caught sight of them and it's always a treat when there are costumed characters running about!
ReplyDeleteI heard them before I saw them. Barking sled dogs make quite a noise.
