More from 2017, and this time in Gatineau at Jacques Cartier Park, where the snowslides were set up for enjoyment.
The Ice Hogs were around.
This turned out to be a harbinger of things to come, as the park hosted a big event for Canada 150 later that anniversary year, and this face returned in a very different way. I'll make mention of it tomorrow.
A big chair for a rest. Of course you have to climb into it.
The snow sculptures were here too. On the day I visited that year, it was mostly overcast, and there had been some snowfall on the sculptures after they had been created, leaving an obscured effect on some of the features.
The big chair is fun.
ReplyDeleteThose big snow sculptures are very impressive.
ReplyDeleteI don't want to meet the guy who can sit in that chair!
ReplyDeleteHello, the slides look fun, I would try the slide. Beautiful snow sculptures.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day and happy new week!
...a fun spot.
ReplyDeleteBig WOW. I just cannot imagine so much snow!
ReplyDelete1977 we had so much snow I could not see the other side of the street. I was maybe... 1,20m. Or rather less ;-)
@Italiafinlandia: it is.
ReplyDelete@Jan: very much so.
@David: there are stories in the Valley of a man named Jos Montferrand, who existed, and whose life took on a legendary nature. He could have.
@Eileen: thank you.
@Tom: it's a good park.
@Iris: we get a lot of snow.
I love the Muskoka chair!
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking a great toboggan ride might be just the thing. My kids are in Florida, spending days at the water park. sigh.
Those huge snow sculptures are amazing.
ReplyDeleteSnow slides are a great idea.

Phenomenal sculptures. It's unreal for me to see such snow and the art you have posted here. My Lab, Skabby never feels the cold of our winters. In fact, I am having him shaved and groomed this week - just before our autumn sets in. He hails from Canada, no wonder. Thank you for visiting my blog so often, William. Have a great day. Jo
ReplyDeleteLooks like lots of fun sliding down the snow there!!!
ReplyDelete@Jennifer: it's a big chair.
ReplyDelete@Sharon: they certainly are.
@Marie: definitely.
@magiceye: indeed.
@Bill: I agree.
@Carol: thanks.
@Jo: Labs would be quite at home in snow.
@happyone: it certainly is fun.
