Starting today with more of these small sculptures around the fountain in Confederation Park, as seen at Winterlude 2017.
Mermaids are so often a theme among ice sculptors.
A larger one in the park.
That first weekend the sculptors, both pairs and solo carvers, were starting to work on their creations.
I leave off today with a shot taken earlier this week. The National Arts Centre has the colours of Ukraine lit up in the glass lantern, as well as its accompanying LED banners.
The large one in the park is my favourite.
ReplyDeleteIt would be interesting to watch the sculptors at work transform the blocks of ice into beautiful sculptures.
