Buskers are always a big thing at Winterlude. Here we had some coming out of Confederation Park back in the last weekend of the festival in 2017.
The Ice Hogs were across the street at City Hall. In the background is one of the library Bookmobiles.
Skaters were on the ice at the City Hall rink.
This polar bear ice sculpture stood up well throughout Winterlude that year, but you can see what three weeks of sunlight exposure does to ice, rendering it opaque.
That last weekend, more small sculptures were being carved around the fountain in the park.
The stage that weekend hosted Inuit teens when I was passing through; the group were singing here.
At night the sculptures take on a different tone. This one was the European Union one at City Hall.
And these were in the park, starting with the Canada 150 one.
The Vimy Memorial ice sculpture was particularly haunting at night.
The bear looked well lit at night.
I leave off today with the large sculptures in the shelters.
The sculptures come to life at night!
