Sculpture

A reminder to members of City Daily Photo that the theme for April is Symmetry. As to my current series, I plan on continuing this retrospective into April, so you'll continue seeing lots of Winterlude for some time to come. And it was time for a new header for the blog, so I selected an image from last year, taken on the grounds of the Museum of History along the Ottawa River shore, but bear in mind: it's going to be May before we see them here.

Since Valentine's Day falls into the midst of Winterlude, an ice sculpture suitable for posing with is always erected in Confederation Park. This is the one from 2017.

Around the fountain in the park that year, more small ice sculptures were made on that second weekend.

This one, with the Statue of Liberty doing a face palm, speaks volumes. This was early in the catastrophe that was the Trump 'presidency'.

Across from the park, buskers were on the property at City Hall.
