Two shots taken from Plaza Bridge on the evening of Nuit Blanche. The lockmaster station is the focus in the first, reflected in the waters of one of the Rideau Canal locks. Up on the hill behind, Parliament Hill looms. I have to come back here again in the evening to take this shot. I've always liked how the area along the Ottawa Locks is lit up at night.
And directly opposite from the lockmaster station, here we have the fully lit Chateau Laurier, looming so very dramatically...
Excellent--I used to love to experiment with high-speed film. Digital makes it easier but no less striking....

DeleteSuch a beautiful area!
ReplyDeleteEven on a rainy night!
DeleteEven this week I said to hubby while we were driving home, "What I like about the city are the lights!" And your lighted scenes are gorgeous!

DeleteAt the moment, I'm trying to figure out a bridge at night scene. The lights when I tried it the other night overwhelmed it.
