I couldn't help it with that title. It's the first thing I thought of when I saw our friend in the first shot. Some shots from various front gardens and porch steps in Ottawa all set for All Hallow's Eve. The last two shots are from the storefront window at Wallack's, an art shop downtown.
Happy Hallowe'en!
Gosh!:)
ReplyDeleteHave FUN !!
It's a fun holiday!
DeleteAbsolutely nothing like this here...
ReplyDeleteI know it gets more attention on this side of the Atlantic...
DeleteLooking festive in Ottawa! YAY! Something to take our minds off what's going on on Parliament Hill. ;)
ReplyDeleteAh, yes, that circus....
DeleteCute! I love all the Halloween building dress-ups!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteLove the title! :) Great shots of all the festive decorations.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteThese are great! (That first one looks like Craig Ferguson's sidekick, Geoff....)
ReplyDeleteI'd still call him Yorick!
DeleteI like little yorik on the bench but the rest don't really float by boat.
ReplyDeleteOne of these days I have to get my hands on a skull... obviously a fake one!
DeleteFun set of photos! (Sure hope folks from other cultures understand this is all in fun!)
ReplyDeleteI hope so!
DeleteLots of fun, and I have wonderful memories from my little neighborhood in my little town in the 50s.
ReplyDeleteSad to say that this year, here in the epicenter of capitalism (the US), many of the girl costumes have become highly sexualized and the boys are all Power Rangers. Not universally, though: many parents are still making extremely creative chickens, train engines, jazz dancers, pumpkins, witches and ghosts, and puppies and lambs. It is a total candy extravaganza in our current neighborhood; some people "give out full sized candy bars." No longer mere mortals!
Full sized candybars are much better than the things you can swallow without chewing!
