This trio of wood sculptures caught my eye.
More of the snow slides.
This is another of the oversized Muskoka chairs in Jacques Cartier Park.
The Ice Hogs are the mascots of Winterlude, seen often at the various sites. A family of oversized groundhogs, they're a long tradition of the festival, and kids love them. I'll be back on the Ottawa side of the river tomorrow to continue this series.
Yoy need someone sitting on the chairs to see how big they really are. I think I have taken my last Winter photo of the season, a week ago. Might post them on the blog in a day or two, but then again, you newer know!
ReplyDeleteMostly it's little kids who sit on the chairs, and I try to avoid photographing children facing the camera.
DeleteOne of those wood sculptures would be right at home in front of my house.
ReplyDeleteThey are sizeable.
DeleteThe Ice Hogs are cute mascots. Take care, enjoy your weekend.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteTrio of wood sculptures. I can see a bear, bald eagle and a heron? Would love to see them in real life as the wood looks beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThat would be right.
Delete...fun in the snow looks more inviting than fun in the rain.
ReplyDeleteIndeed.
DeleteLove eagles! That sculptures looks incredible.
ReplyDeleteI agree.

DeleteIt looks like fun is guaranteed there
ReplyDeleteIt is.
DeleteIt looks like the little kids are attracted to the ice hogs.
ReplyDeleteThey are.
DeleteWhere did all that snow come from? Certainly none around here.
ReplyDeleteThis event was in February, of course.
DeleteI've never seen a groundhog, we dont' have them here but judging from their costumes they look cute.
ReplyDeleteThe real groundhogs are cute too.
DeleteFun times in the winter wonderland!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely.
DeleteSo much of fun for everyone!
ReplyDeleteThere's a lot.
