I start today with backlit fall colours in Little Italy one morning.
On another day early in the month, I was heading to Major's Hill Park. This view, from the top of a staircase alongside the Chateau Laurier, takes in Parliament Hill, the Bytown Museum, and the Rideau Canal.
While these two were taken along the terrace heading for the park.
Ivy on the wall here has been turning red. Trees in the park loom above.
The Connaught Building is seen in the background here. It's headquarters for the Canada Revenue Agency. My Canadian readers, your tax dollars go through there.
Three things in life are certain: death, taxes, and the Toronto Maple Leafs screwing up when it really counts.
Here we have a view of the Chateau.
The American embassy is in the background here.
One can see the Library of Parliament nestled here among the trees.
One more shot for today. We'll carry on in the park tomorrow.
Love this virtual tour with you. Beautiful view and autumn colours.
ReplyDeleteThe last but one is my favourite!
ReplyDeleteSo many pretty colours, wish it was that season here.
ReplyDeleteFunny. Just tried to get my tax-lady for a delay! Hope she does not get red in anger as the tree...
ReplyDeleteIt was a nice and relaxed walk, I think.
ReplyDeleteI have yet to see much orange here. That seems to come later than, say, shades of yellow and red.
ReplyDeleteNice!
ReplyDelete@Nancy: thank you.
ReplyDelete@Italiafinlandia: thanks.
@Amy: I enjoy this season.
@Iris: hopefully not.
@Jan: it was.
@Revrunner: ours come together.
@Sandi: thank you.
Soon it will all be white!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous Autumn trees and colors.
ReplyDeleteTake care, enjoy your day!
...in Little Italy did you stop by the deli?
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful colours. Nature indeed is delightful!
ReplyDeleteEven yesterday I could find little colour here. Some brownish tones but that was it.
ReplyDeleteYou are making me eager to see color changes here but that won't happen for two more months.
ReplyDeleteThat was a very pleasant ramble!
ReplyDeleteThe Toronto Maple Leafs still have a lovely name and emblem. :)
ReplyDeleteSorry about the Maple Leafs! We are beginning to get color here down-state Michigan. Finally. Lovely views, all!
ReplyDeleteGreat views, William.
ReplyDelete@David: before you know it.
ReplyDelete@Eileen: thank you!
@Tom: of course I did!
@Magiceye: it certainly is.
@RedPat: we're ahead of you.
@Sharon: it's weird to think of that in these parts.
ReplyDelete@Catarina: yes it was.
@Maywyn: I beg to differ!
@Jeanie: I'm not! I hate the Leafs.
@Bill: thank you.
Quite a park to walk though
ReplyDeleteThe colours in your first photo are stunning.
