The De Havilland Beaver is an iconic bushplane, with some of them still in service today.

This is the Reliant.
Here we have a throwback in the form of a biplane, albeit one more advanced than its earlier counterparts: the Stearman Speedmail.

ReplyDeleteFascinating. Bush planes, I think I saw one near Lake Champlain a few weeks ago.
ReplyDeleteMy husband worked in an isolated community along the Newfoundland coast in the 70s and sometimes travelled by bush plane. Quite scary by all reports!
