The National Capital Commission runs a shuttle service up into Gatineau Park on the weekends for fall colours, and I took advantage one day early this month. The Gatineau Hills are part of the vast Canadian Shield, and are also western foothills of Quebec's Laurentian Mountains. They are visible from Ottawa, and Gatineau Park itself is a federal park run by the NCC. I caught a shuttle bus at the War Museum, and it went into Gatineau and entered the park. I started taking pictures as we went.
Looks beautiful ! It's strange you are so far away but the trees and colors look the same as here !

@David: there are several stops along the way. You can get out and visit. With buses every twenty minutes you have every opportunity to get another ride when you're done at a given location.
